…And Ride Away Singing The Breeding Philosophy of BAZY TANKERSLEY and the History of AL-MARAH ARABIANS
by Mary Jane Parkinson

This book enhances the history of the Arabian horse breed in the United States. Beginning with Bazy’s  enchantment with the Arabian horse during her childhood and her determination to own a “whole field of Arabians”. Continuing on to her early establishment of a breeding program to her leadership position in the Arabian horse community and owner of one of the largest Arabian studs in the world. This book goes through the decades, covering early breeders, childhood experiences, beginnings of her breeding programs, ranch locations, purchases of horses, imports from Crabbet and Hanstead, showing, auctions, breeding and so much more from this titan of the Arabian breed.

Loaded with anecdotes that only a person with over 60 years of experience as a breeder  could relate. This book tells her triumphs and mistakes, changes in her thinking as well as her absolutes in conformation, discipline and usefulness.
