The authors discuss the Arabian breeding stock that left the country earlier in history and the countries that continued breeding from this root stock and the number of generations that had occurred since the horses left the Arabian peninsula and which countries continued breeding from that stock. Mohammed J. Al Marzouk considered the period when the horses left Arabia and which of their offspring returned to the Middle East and also the great efforts taken in collecting and breeding these Arabians in the their homeland.
This is truly an amazing book, published by Gianluigi Grasso, Italy. No expense was spared in creating this visual treat. Book is bound in rich blue full leather that is embossed with gold with tipped on color art plate by Mary Haggard. Book has a wonderful, tiny hand woven prayer rug tipped on 2nd. page. Book is full of color and b/w plates of antique art after such famed Orientalists painters as Carle Vernet, V. Adam, Gericault, Julius Kossak, etc. There are full color art plates after the works of Mary Haggard and a great many amazing photos by Gigi Grasso. Book is housed in full blue leather slip case with embossed design with gold on cover. This book is in excellent condition with a little wear at the spine, the slip case is vey good with a couple spots of wear. 261 pages. Interestingly, no publishing date
