From the preface" The bibliography primarily includes books that focus on the Arabian horse-- it heritage, characteristics, conformation, breeding bloodlines etc. General books on horses and horsemanship are included when they contain significant amounts of textual material on the Arabian breed, when the topic is of particular interest to the Arabian owner, or when they are "curiosities' from the 18th or 19th centuries that would be of interest to the book collector."
