From the preface" The bibliography primarily includes books that focus on the Arabian horse-- it heritage, characteristics, conformation, breeding bloodlines etc. General books on horses and horsemanship are included when they contain significant amounts of textual material on the Arabian breed, when the topic is of particular interest to the Arabian owner, or when they are "curiosities' from the 18th or 19th centuries that would be of interest to the book collector." There are also travel accounts and diaries that pertain to Arabia and the Bedouin and their horses, pamphlets that are of a historical nature, stud books and periodicals by country. This is a bibliography of literature world wide. Each listing gives the author, title, publisher , years published, number of volumes, and a brief description of the contents.
