    This book gives the history of the horses and people at the ranch from 1925 to 1985 and is  loaded with historic photos, a must have reference book and fascinating reading. The bloodlines of the Kellogg Arabians included ; DAVENPORT, CRABBET, POLISH, SPANISH AND EARLY AMERICAN LINES. 
    Read all about the famed Kellogg Arabian Horse Ranch in Pomona California with its many amazing stories involved with the gathering of this important group of Arabian Horses. The book begins with a foreword by Gladys Brown Edwards who had worked at the Kellogg from 1933 to 1945 and recalls much of those early days. 

    Beginning in 1924 Mr Kellogg trip he took to Palm Springs and visited Clarke Arabian Ranch. Mr. Kellogg was impressed with the ranch, its horses as well as Carl Schmidt, the German man in charge of the horses. Schmidt came to work for Kellogg and had a very significant of impact on future Arabian horse dealings. This book reveals the elusive facts regarding the "Raswan Affair", and the actual circumstances surrounding the death of the stallion named Raswan and reveals the reason Carl Schmidt took "Raswan" as his surname. This book gives the actual correspondence between Schmidt, Kellogg, Cecil Covey and Lady Wentworth from The Crabbet Arabian stud and even involved the movie star Rudolf Valentino. Just one of the many fascinating stories in this book.  Carl Raswan authored many important  Arabian Horse books as well as magazine articles. 

    The text also tells about letters from Lady Wentworth, Crabbet Arabian Stud, interestingly Skowronek had one been offered for sale to Kellogg.
