In 1924 Mr Kellogg took a trip to Palm Springs and visited Clarke Arabian Ranch. Mr. Kellogg was impressed with the ranch, its horses as well as Carl Schmidt, the German man in charge of the horses. Schmidt came to work for Kellogg and had a significant of impact on future Arabian horse dealings. This book reveals the elusive facts regarding the "Raswan Affair", and the circumstances surrounding the death of the stallion named Raswan and the reason Carl Schmidt took "Raswan" as his surname.
