    Arabian Horse World July 1976

This issue, along with the usual wonderful articles, loads of photos, ads and show results includes an article by Gladys Brown Edwards: The Nichols Sale- " Mission Accomplished ."

Gladys gives a detailed account of the event which was covered by NBC television. From the weather, to the food,  to the horses and record sale prices as well as famous attendees which included Jackie Onassis, Warren Beatty, Candice Bergen, and others. Gene LaCroix was sale manager, Sheila Varian was one of the ring handlers. Catering was done by the legendary Alice's Restaurant. This article is illustrated with B&W photos of the event, too bad they aren't the best quality.  As to be expected, Gladys gives loads of information which makes this issue a wonderful compliment to the sale catalog.

Both the catalog and magazine show wear, but the insides are complete, clean and unmarked
